NEW! Loop Excision of the Cervix

This new procedure allows for a quick, painless, and effective removal of precancerous cervical conditions (CIN2 and CIN3).

Procedure details:

• Always performed under colposcopy control – after treating the cervix with acetic acid and iodine, the affected area is precisely identified.
• A local anesthetic is applied to ensure a painless experience.
• A low-voltage thin loop wire is used to remove the affected cervical tissue.

Important pre-procedure recommendations:

• Women of reproductive age must confirm they are not pregnant and use effective contraception.
• The procedure is best done after menstruation.
• One day before, it is advisable to take non-steroidal pain or anti-inflammatory medications to minimize discomfort after the anesthesia wears off.

Post-procedure restrictions:

🚫 For 4 weeks, avoid:

• Sexual activity
• Using tampons

🚫 For 2 weeks, avoid:

• Taking baths
• Swimming

The cervical healing period is 4–6 weeks, and following these guidelines helps reduce the risk of post-procedure bleeding and infection.

A follow-up cytological test will be conducted 6 months after the procedure to ensure successful healing.
